DESCRIPTION:VOLUNTEER WORKDAY – a great way to give back to the river that we all love! Mark your calendars for Thurs. Nov 4th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. PMTU and TU are collaborating on a river improvement project on McDuffee Creek – a Pere Marquette tributary. \nWe will be planting 2\,500 live tree stakes to restore the riparian area. If you’re not familiar\, live staking is a quick and easy planting technique so the work won’t be too arduous. \nWe will provide all the materials\, tools\, and some drinks and food for volunteers. The planting location is a conservation easement property near 14 Mile and N Spruce Ave in Bitely. \nMore details will be forthcoming as the date approaches.
